Early May 2024 , we learned that Music From Hope will be featured by the Toronto Arts Council in their 50th anniversary spotlight, and we are beyond honored and deeply moved. This recognition among 50 incredible artists and organizations that made a positive imprint on Toronto arts and community for the last 50 years, It feels like a dream come true. For us, and for everyone involved in Music From Hope (MFH), this acknowledgment is the culmination of years of dedication, passion, and resilience. Since we started working with music, we knew that our passion extended beyond performing on stage; we wanted others to experience the power of music and its ability to change lives for the better. Music was able to heal us, save our lives, and help us establish new paths after fleeing the trauma of war, displacement, and refuge. MFH represents not just our artistic endeavors but our very hearts and souls. To be recognized alongside such inspiring individuals is the highest honor we could imagine. This feature is a profound affirmation of our journey and fuels our determination to continue making a positive impact. It is the best recognition we could ever hope for, and we are eternally grateful.
